The Crows Nest

High Stakes is a reminder anything is possible within the world of Battlerap. 
The U.W is clearly making a statement with this event. 
Although the league initially appeared to give the spotlight to the rookies (throughout the mid-late half of 2013) 
Ars and company is back and this time all bets are off. 
This event is long overdue in more ways then 1. The actual card is the U.W best offering ever and the 100$ price entrance signals value. 
HIGH STAKES puts everyone on notice, making me wonder what else they have in store for 2014.................

As in life there are good times , there are bad times and u know if the main event battle is 6 months overdue (effectively changing a whole company) 
S got UGLY..............


THE GOOD

-SHOUT OUTS
-Ars and the entire U.W Staff 4 pulling off a great event.
-Every battlerapper on the Card and in the building.
-@Critic Chen and his OTBVA army shirt.
-Everyone in the building 
Prodigy,Papoose,Poisen pen & Rah digga (I'm missing a lot)
-All my dudes and the people who come out 2 support these events.
(Millz I see u)
-Every OTBVA poster out there and all the other Battlerap related forums.

-ENTERTAINMENT ON HAND
The Card was stacked and tbh every battle was entertaining. 
This is GOOD and rare considering things in Battlerap these days

-HIT JOB
Hitman's performance during that 1st>>

-CRIPPIN IN THE MATRIX
The battle between Magic and Day was def 1 of the highlights of the night .
Magic was himself on steroids last night (he took the blue pill lol)
Day entered the Matrix and delivered another great moment in Battlerap
(GOOD 2 see Day bringing the bars out)

-THE FINAL JERSEY&DETRIOT CONFRONTATION
It was probably the best undercover Grudge match of the past 2 years. 
The Battle between Cal vs Surf goes way back.
What started as disrespect morphed in2 that infamous incident in Detroit
(GOOD way to finally end the long standing feud)

-KING OF NEW YORK
Did Hollow vs Luxs live up to the hype?
Who cares when what we got was a great battle in the end.
Luxs continue on with his positive image, while Holllow finally gave the people some clarity as to who is the true King of New York.

THE BAD

SURF's TAB
@ the onset of Surf's 2nd round , he refuse to rap due 2 the crowd.
Funny considering his response was "put it on my tab" 
Ars had to keep reminding him to go

-NON THRILLING HOST
By the 3rd battle Jack Thriller was twisted and Ars stepped in as the Host.
Thriller wasn't gone tho he stayed and sounded like a Mumm-ra by the main event.

-SICK VICTIM #2
(Being sick fucking sucks period)
Imagine being a battlerapper trying 2 project over a whole room.
Like Clips the 1st time , Red became the latest victim.

-FIGHTING MAD ILLZ IN THE MATRIX
U can't be really be mad @ Day for going in the matrix @ High Stakes. 
Only part that was BAD was the fight scene with the Madd Illz look alike.


THE UGLY

-CUTTING HOLLOWS
Ars seem to cut Hollow @ the end of the 1st or 2nd 
(i get it was probably for stream purposes) but this was not the battle 4 that

-GETTING ESCORTED OUT
Smokers were picked off like insurgents @ High stakes. 
I manage 2 sneak my bud in , but didn't light it due 2 the atmosphere. 
The bouncers were on point , flash lights and all.
If u were 1 of the few who got kicked out , what a UGLY way 2 spend a 100 bucks

-THE ELEVATED V.I.P CROWD
The crowd was broken up into 4 parts.
Up close was VIP , directly in back of them was the regular crowd. 
To the left and right (of both of those crowds)was the elevated V.I.P section. Both sections couldn't shut the fuck up @ all throughout the night. 
It's hard to see this on cam but it was fucking UGLY in person

-LEAVING EARLY
As soon as Luxs finished his 3rd , people began to leave SMH 
It wasn't like 75% of the crowd or nothing like after Mook 5th against Solomon. Must suck 2 miss out on 1 of the best rounds ever............
